Botanicares MULTI-RES Reservoir was designed for simplicity in maintenance and performance. Each reservoir comes with a specially designed lid containing an access port and a raised grip porthole cover. This standard option allows the gardener easy access to the reservoir without taking the entire lid off, ensuring a more functional routine of adding solutions, nutrients and water to your reservoir. The MULTI-RES Reservoir also comes equipped with built in bulkhead ports in front and on each side, enabling the grower to add a centrifugal pump outside the reservoir. This feature also gives the gardener the ability to join reservoirs together inline or side by side to achieve increased water volumes. Porthole Cover: The Porthole Cover with its raised grip fits into an access port on the Multi-Res Lid. This option allows the gardener easy access to the reservoir without taking the entire lid off, ensuring a more functional routine of adding solutions, nutrients and water to your reservoir. The Easy Drain concept is quite simple in design. What it basically amounts to is a sloped reservoir that forces the water to gather in the front as the level decreases. Unlike most flat bottom reservoirs this sloped design will minimize the amount of residual nutrients that normally go to waste as the pump can only draw liquid that is above its intake. Now instead of having a 2'' layer of liquid across the whole footprint of your reservoir you will only have a small area in the front of the reservoir to contend with. Another advantage of the easy drain system is the option of placing a valve at the bottom of the recessed area to further drain the system. This option allows you to place an internal or external drain pump to speed up the reservoir change process. No more trying to remove the reservoir to empty out the dregs. Another interesting bonus is that cleaning these reservoirs has become less of a chore due to the rounded corners and the concentration of the solution. Finally we opted to use a larger porthole cover to facilitate ease of pump and plumbing maintenance. In short system maintenance just got easier.
